Panning in photography – quick tips – Canon


[PANNING: QUICK TIPS] A great way to capture some
movement in your winter shots is to use a technique called panning. Panning’s a photographic technique
where the camera follows the subject. It really creates a sense of
speed by blurring the background. You can do this
with almost any camera. When I’m panning, I want to
be in control of the shutter speed; so, I set the
camera to shutter priority, and the shutter speed from around
60th to a 125th of a second. It’s really important you get
a good position with your body, nice and stable. You want to keep that
camera as steady as possible as you move through the shot. Come and See
