Videography Terms & Information : Interlaced Video: Videography Terms

Hi! My name is Antar with Blue Phoenix Media
you can find us on the web at www.bluepmedia.com and in conjunction with Expert Village we’re
going to be talking to you today about videography. Now we’re currently on segment twelve and
this segment is on interlace video, now what is interlace video you might ask well most
normal television is actually interlaced and what interlaced is, is that every let’s
say if you just stopped your video and you actually look in that particular that one
screen shot, that one still. It’s not actually a solid frame or a solid image it’s actually
made up of what’s called fields and now it’s actually two images and at every other
line, every other odd or even is at that particular image. So you image you have one image in
another one, every odd, every odd line in this one and every even line in this one,
they’re superimpose onto each other and they rotate. It replaces the evens, it replaces
the odds, places the evens and it goes on just like that and it gives a nice smooth
image. Once again my name is Antar with Blue Phoenix Media you can find us on the web at
www.bluepmedia.com thanks for watching.
